- I discovered doyle-scienceteachblogspot.com during the week and it is a great read. The posting Clamming on Good Friday imparts the lesson for the Easter season (the physical meets the miraculous) and I hope you enjoy it. This blog is worth reading on a regular basis. It should please readers there is a teacher of this caliber teaching children. It's a treat in the proverbial Easter basket!
- Since mentioning anything remotely about God or religion is taboo in public schools today (don't EVEN think about singing "God Bless the USA" until the media got a hold of this policy), I thought I would provide a historical lesson on the origin and symbolism of Easter Eggs. This is not a politically correct blog. We do still call them Easter eggs, not "spring spheres". Check out other politically correct names in schools and cities when talking about that dreaded term "Easter". It's rather ironic the speech police want to ban references to Easter as many of these Easter traditions pre-date Christianity. Too bad students today can't learn history and historical references because, horror of horrors, it MIGHT have something to do with religion.
Happy Easter!
