Shouldn't bullying constitute teacher termination? |
This story about a teacher bullying a student is going viral. You can find write ups on this story here and here and here and here and here.
This social studies teacher should be fired...not only for her bullying tactics, but also her lack of knowledge of what constitutes free speech. What's particularly disturbing is the young man she bullied transferred to another school while the teacher is still employed at the original school. From the salisburypost.com:
Rowan-Salisbury spokeswoman Rita Foil confirmed the teacher is still
employed with the district and has not been suspended for disciplinary
reasons. Foil emailed this statement to a Post reporter Friday on behalf
of the school system:
“The Rowan-Salisbury School System expects all students and employees to
be respectful in the school environment and for all teachers to
maintain their professionalism in the classroom. This incident should
serve as an education for all teachers to stop and reflect on their
interaction with students.
“Due to personnel and student confidentiality, we cannot discuss the matter publicly.”
Do you think she came to George W. Bush's defense when he was called names, or is it only when you call President Obama a "bully" that a citizen should become upset about disrespecting a President?
The progressives have a lot of names for President George W. Bush:
Dubya, Bushie, Shrub, Chimp, Smirky, Bushitler, Chickenhawk One, Hitlerburton, Chimpowitz, Rove's Puppet, Cowboy Hitlerstein, AWOL McPsycho, Bushollini, Cheney's Sock Puppet, Chimpy McDrunkard, Darth Moron, Toxic Texan, Dim Son, Drinky McCokeSpoon, Emperor Chimpatine, Fearful Leader, Herr Bush, Moron-in-Chief, and Satan's Monkey.

I'm only 2 minutes into this and I've already had enough of this "teacher". She's too ignorant to be a voter, much less leading a classroom. A social studies teacher??? She doesn't know the first thing about the First Amendment.
ReplyDeleteShe was absolutely schooled by these high schoolers, regardless of how vulgar both sides were. All she could do was scream over them. I believe that one or two of those kids could have taught the class more competently than she could. She also went on to lie about people getting arrested for speaking out against GWB. It was shameful.
The scary thing is that while I haven't heard this sort of vitriol from teachers in the Rockwood School District, I certainly have witnessed evidence of the same attitude. I asked during my campaign for school board that teachers check their political opinions at the door, even those opinions which are similar to mine. That statement was met with a huge amount of indignation from NEA types. This is why it's very important that conservatives don't just pay lip service to changing public education. This teacher and thousands upon thousands just like her are polluting the impressionable minds of millions American kids 9 months out of the year. The progressives are keenly aware that their success hinges upon getting to kids early and often and making the teacher the ultimate authority, as opposed to the parents.
Pay attention to and vote in school board races EVERY TIME. RUN if you feel called. DONATE to conservative school board candidates and SHOW UP at school board meetings and be HEARD. They won't do a thing if they don't DIRECTLY feel the heat. Most of all, be FEARLESS. They're bullies. Bullies are cowards.
There are just too many one way streets with some Democrats and some liberals. It's ok to criticize one president because (pick your favorite) it's your 1st amendment right, it's your civic duty to direct them if they go in the wrong direction, it's only pointing out facts. But those reasons don't go the other way on their street. Even in this teahcer's classroom, you must respect the teacher (which she defines as accepting her every statement on face value), but she is not required to respect her students. I applaud those students for demanding the equality that the left is always shouting about and making sure the streets run both ways.
ReplyDeleteMike is absolutely right! "The progressives are keenly aware that their success hinges upon getting to kids early and often and making the teacher the ultimate authority, as opposed to the parents."
ReplyDeleteConservatives have GOT to get involved and take action on education issues. The "ultimate authority" is becoming big-gov via Common Core and RttT. Left unchallenged, the federal government will soon be running our local schools and who's elected to school boards won't matter at all.
