"I know no safe depository of the ultimate powers of the society but the people themselves; and if we think them not enlightened enough to exercise their control with a wholesome discretion, the remedy is not to take it from them, but to inform their discretion by education. This is the true corrective of abuses of constitutional power." - Thomas Jefferson 1820

"There is a growing technology of testing that permits us now to do in nanoseconds things that we shouldn't be doing at all." - Dr. Gerald Bracey author of Rotten Apples in Education

Meet and greet at "Freedom Fights"--Sunday, June 27

Come meet us this Sunday, June 27, noon to 5 PM at the St. Charles Convention Center for "Freedom Fights". This is sponsored by "I Heard the People Say" and is a unique opportunity to meet the candidates in various Missouri contests. They will be "in the ring" answering questions and I expect we'll see some lively exchanges! You can access this link for more information:

MISSOURI EDUCATION WATCHDOG will have a table of information on educational concerns in the state, as well as how YOU can become a watchdog. We'd be interested in hearing your concerns and suggestions.

See you Sunday!
